At School

We engage our students and equip them for success, preparing them for our changing world.

We offer programs from "Pre-School" (2.5 years of age) through Grade 8. We also provide "Before and After School Care".

At First Lutheran Christian Academy, we:

• concentrate on building a deep understanding of the important concepts in the curriculum
• work toward mastery of essential skills needed to function as effective learners
• develop the skills needed for life in the 21st century balanced with traditional values
• ensure that our teachers are learners too, staying current in best-practice teaching strategies, and
• instill a love of learning that will last a lifetime

Academic features include:

• curriculum that meets or exceeds Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines
• low student/teacher ratio
• effective use of assignment agenda to ensure homework completion and educational accountability
• a binder system for note-keeping to keep parents informed of daily achievement and to teach organizational skills, and
• three report cards annually with student-specific grades and written observations
